Soan Papdi Biscuit

These Soan Papdi Biscuits offer a delightful fusion of the traditional Indian sweet, Soan Papdi, and the crispy texture of biscuits. Ingredients

 

  • 100 gram butter & 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder & 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • Oddy Ecobake & 1/2 cup chickpea flour (besan)
  • 1/2 cup+ 2 tbsp all purpose flour & 1 tbsp custard powder
  • 1 tbsp milk powder & i/1 tbsp baking powder
  • Chopped almonds and pistachios
  • Some milk

Directions

 

  • In a mixing bowl, take butter and whisk it. Then add powdered sugar, cardamom powder and vanilla essence. Mix everything well.
  • Sieve the dry ingredients like besan, maida, custard powder followed by milk powder and baking powder. Mix all well and make it soft dough. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
  • Line the baking tray with Oddy Ecobake. With the help of a 1/2 tbsp measuring spoon, take out some dough and make cookies out of it.
  • Give them rectangular shape as shown.Preheat the oven for about 10 minutes at 160 degrees. Give soan papdi biscuits milk wash as shown.
  • Garnish the biscuits with almonds and pistachios.Bake the biscuits at 160 degrees for about 17 minutes. Check it once if the biscuits are baked properly or not.
  • Else, you can bake it for a few more minutes as needed.
