Steamed Dumplings or Kozhukattai with Health Mix

About the Recipe

Make these steamed dumplings with health mix for your kid’s snack box or for their evening snacks after returning home. You need only 15 to 20 minutes to make these yummy and healthy kozhukattais. Ecobake helps in steaming the dumplings without greasing, and there is no additional cleanup.

Ingredients

 

  • Oil - 1 tbsp & Salt as per salt
  • Mustard seeds & Urad dal
  • Green chillies & Chopped onions
  • Health mix powder - 1 cup
  • Water - 3/4 to less than 1 cup

Directions

 

  • Roast health mix powder in a pan for 2 minutes. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, urad dal or moong dal and sauté well.
  • Add chopped green chillies and onions to the pan and sauté well. Add grated coconut to the pan and give everything a good mix for 10 seconds.
  • Add water to the pan and then add health mix powder to the boiling water and switch off the stove. Mix the health mix powder well with water and let it cool down.
  • Once the mixture reaches a normal temperature, form a dough with the mixture and make dumplings. Place the dumplings on an idli plate lined with Ecobake cooking paper.
  • Steam the dumplings for 10 minutes and then switch off the stove. Now you can easily remove the dumplings from the stove by taking the Ecobake cooking paper from the idli plate.
