Strawberry Relish Forest Cake

Dhokla is a popular and traditional Indian recipe originating from Gujarat. One of the key issues that people face when steaming dhokla is that it gets stuck to the pan. When we take it out, the shape gets broken. Ecobake helps in getting perfect dhokla shape without any greasing and no need of cleaning afterwards.

Ingredients

  • 250 ml chocolate premix (170 gm), 2 tbsp oil, water as requird
  • 4 tbsp strawberry crush, 250 ml whipping cream, strawberry essence
  • half cup water, add chocolate essence, 2 tsp sugar
  • Dark chocolate shavings, 5-6 cherries, N46 nozzle

Directions

  • Make a smooth and lump free chocolate sponge batter by adding chocolate premix, oil and water as requird. Bake for 35-40 min on low flame in a deep bottomed vessel covered with a lid. After baking, allow the cake to cool and cut it into three layers.
  • Take strawberry crush and make a smooth paste of the crush in a mixer. Whisk chilled whipping cream and add the strawberry crush.
  • Whisk again till smooth cream and light pink colour is formed. Add strawberry essence and whisk again.
  • Make sugar syrup with water, chocolate essence and sugar.
  • Add some cream on base of cake board, place cake layer. Add the cream filling, sprinkle dark chocolate shavings, and repeat the process doe rest two layers. Crump coat the cake with fine layer of cream.
  • Give final cream coating. Soothen the sides and top of the cake. Coat the sides with chocolate shavings.
  • Make roses with N46 nozzle with same strawberry cream. Do the borders at the base. Add chocolate shaving in the centre of the cake. Place red cherries on the cream roses. Delicious Stwarberry Chololate Relish Cake is ready.
