Soft Mysorepak With Ghee

About the Recipe

Besan flour, ghee, and sugar are the main ingredients in the classic Indian sweet known as Mysore Pak. It can be made in hard or soft varieties, and this recipe is for Mysore Pak which is smooth and soft. Brown Oddy Ecobake aids in setting and obtaining the ideal shape for your sweet.

Ingredients

 

  • Gram Flour - 1 Cup
  • Ghee - Approximately 1 Cup
  • Sugar - 1 Cup
  • Elaichi Flavour - 1 Pinch

Directions

 

  • Roast besan in a pan until it changes color and turns aromatic. Allow it to cool down by transferring it to a bowl. Add 1/4 cup of ghee to the besan to make a paste.
  • Prepare sugar syrup in a pan by melting sugar in water in a pan. Once it attains one string consistency, add besan ghee paste to it and mix well.
  • Add 2 tbsp of ghee at intervals from the remaining ghee to the besan mixture and mix well. Once the mixture starts leaving the pan, add elaichi powder and switch off the stove.
  • Transfer the sweet to a tray lined with brown Ecobake and spread it evenly. After 20 minutes, cut the mysore pak into small pieces.
