Sweet Recipe For Raksha Bandhan With Mawa, Khajur & Chocolate

Ingredients

 

  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Pinch of saffron
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk powder
  • 2 tbsp chopped dry fruits
  • 1 tsp dry rose petals & 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • Dates - 18 & Chocolate - 100gm
  • Sunflower and Pumpkin seeds for garnishing

Directions

 

  • To prepare mava, add milk, saffron, butter, and sugar in the required quantities. Once the sugar melts and dissolves in the milk, you can add milk powder or dairy whitener. After 2 min, the mava will start thickening. Switch off the stove and let the mava cool down.
  • Using the double boiler method, make chocolate ganache using 100 gm of milk chocolate. Take 18 no. dates and remove the seeds.Stuff the dates with the prepared mava. Now take a mould and spread the dates using a brush along the sides of the mould.
  • Freeze this mould for 5 minutes in the refrigerator. When the chocolate is set well on the sides, spread the walls of the mould once again with melted chocolate.
  • Fill the mould with some mava and three dates. Cover the dates again with melted chocolate. Garnish the moulds with chopped almonds, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds.
  • Freeze the mould in the refrigerator for 15 to 20 min. As shown in the video, garnish with white chocolate or dark chocolate. Again, freeze the mould for 10 minutes and remove the sweets from the mould. You can store these chocolate cups in Oddy Uniwraps in refrigerator to avoid sweating. .
