Tea Time Cake Using Whipped Cream

A perfect cake recipe for everyone’s birthday or an afternoon tea. This is the basic sponge cake recipe you can pull off and make everyone compliment you for your baking skills. Ecobake helps in getting the perfect cake without any greasing and no need of cleaning afterwards.

Ingredients

 

  • Whipped cream:- 1 cup (200 ml)
  • Eggs :- 2 and Oil :- 1 tbsp
  • Vanilla essence :- 1 tsp
  • Maida / All purpose flour :- 1 & 1/2 cup
  • Powdered Sugar :- 3/4 cup (or 1 cup)
  • Baking powder :- 1 & 1/2 tsp
  • Salt :- 1/4 tsp

Directions

 

  • Beat the whipping cream until it becomes soft. Add eggs and vanilla essence in it and mix it with the help of an electric beater. Wet mixture will be ready.
  • Pour approx. 2-3 cups water in steamer at bottom and heat it over medium flame.
  • Sift the flour, powdered sugar, baking powder and salt altogether. Dry ingredients will be ready.
  • Add these dry ingredients to the wet mixture. And mix the batter by cut and fold method.
  • Place Oddy Brown Ecobake in a 7-inch square tin. No need to grease. Pour the batter in it. And tap the tin properly.
  • Bake the cake for 45-50 min at low flame if using gas. Or for 35-40 min at 180 degree if using oven. Make sure to preheat it before baking.
  • Demould when cake cools down at room temperature.
