Til Ke Laddoo

About the Recipe

Make the quick and easy to prepare til or sesame seeds laddoo for your family. A healthy source of plant protein and an excellent source of fibre are sesame seeds. The health benefits for your family will therefore rise if you include them in your diet. With the addition of jaggery, it may be made more nutrient-dense. This jaggery mixture is subsequently spread on Oddy Ecobake, a reusable baking dish that is safe to use and suitable for all types of baking and cooking.

Ingredients

 

  • White sesame or Til seeds-500 g & Water-1 tbsp
  • Jaggery- 500 g & Ghee- ½ tbsp + 3 tbsp
  • Green cardamom- 3 to 4
  • Oddy Ecobake

Directions

 

  • Roast sesame seeds on a low flame for 8–10 minutes until they turn aromatic while stirring continuously. Switch off the flame, transfer it to a plate, and let it cool.
  • Add water to a pan and let the jaggery melt well. Then add ghee to it and stir continuously. Switch off the flame when it leaves the pan, and you can get ball consistency.
  • Spread it on Oddy Ecobake and cool completely and break into pieces after cooling.
  • Grind a portion of roasted and cooled sesame seeds to a coarse powder and transfer it to a plate. Also, grind the cooled jaggery pieces coarsely.
  • Mix it along with the sesame seed powder, and keep a little mixture aside for dusting later. Now melt the jaggery in the same pan, then add the ghee to it and mix. Now add the roasted sesame seeds and mix.
  • Let the mixture be warm, and gradually add the ground mixture to it and combine well. Now add ghee and mix well. Then add the cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Wet your hands and make them into balls while they are warm, then coat them in the ground sesame seeds and jaggery mixture.
  • You can make the balls while the mixture is warm, so reheat the mixture if needed. The tasty and healthy til ke laddoo is ready.
