About the Recipe

Sesame seeds are a great source of calcium which helps in keeping the bones healthy. Incorporate sesame seeds in your diet by making these vadis. These are easy to make and super tasty. You can have this after a meal to satiate your sugar cravings. It also contains jaggery which helps in better digestion of food. Oddy Ecobake helps in making the vadis easily.

Ingredients

 

  • Oddy Ecobake
  • roasted sesame seeds 100 grams
  • peanuts 100 grams
  • jaggery crushed 150 - 200 gms
  • ghee 1 tbsp
  • cardamom powder ½ tsp
  • 4 nuts sliced
  • 4 almonds sliced

Directions

 

  • In a mixer add the sesame seeds and make a coarse powder by grinding it little by little. Transfer it in a bowl.
  • In the same mixer add peanuts add grind it into a coarse powder and transfer it in a bowl. Switch on the flame, keep a kadai and add jaggery, keep on stirring and cook till jaggery melts completely. Switch off the flame and add ghee, mix it.
  • Add crushed sesame seeds and peanuts into our jaggery and mix well. Add cardamom powder.
  • Line the baking tin with Oddy Ecobake. Oddy Ecobake is grease-proof and eco-friendly. Perfect for cooking and baking purposes. Add the tilgud mixture and pat it evenly with a spatula or glass.
  • Sprinkle nuts and sliced almonds on top. Let it set for 15-20 mins. Demold the tilgud and cut it into equal sizes. Our Tilachi vadi is ready. Store it in an air tight container.
