  • Oddy Ecobake
  • 1/2 cup coriander
  • 1/4 cup cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 5 - 6 cloves
  • 1/4 Kg Sorghum
  • 1/4 kg of rice
  • 1/4 kg millet
  • 1 bowl of black urad dal
  • 1 cup of wheat
  • 1 mung bean 1 bowl
  • 1 cup gram dal
  • 2 large onions
  • A little coriander
  • 1 1/2 tsp red chillies
  • 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup oil

Directions

  • Roast the coriander seeds, jeera, pepper and cloves, and all the pulses separately. Now add everything in a dish and let it cool down completely. Grind it in a mixer into a fine powder. Sieve the powder nicely to remove bigger particles from it. You can store this powder in an air tight container for more than a month.
  • In a dish add chopped onions, coriander leaves, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and mix well. Add 21 cup wheat flour. 3 cups of our powdered mixture and mix everything well. Add a little water and make a smooth dough. Make small balls as we do for chapatis.
  • Place Oddy Ecobake on the rolling plate and place the dough on it. Wet your hands and pat the thalipeeth nicely. Make holes with fingers as shown.
  • Keep a pan on stove, let it heat nicely. Add a little oil, place the thalipeeth on pan and slowly remove the Oddy Ecobake. Cover it with a lid and cook for 2 mins. Flip and cook again till golden crisp on both sides. Our multigrain thalipeeth is ready. Serve hot with sauce, curd or chutney.
