Tilgud wadi

Tilgud wadi is one of the simplest recipes. A must during the winter season to keep your tummy and body warm. Make with just a few ingredients. All the ingredients in this wadi gives warmth and nutrition. Oddy Ecobake helps in demolding and making the wadi into perfect shapes.

Ingredients

 

  • White sesame 1 cup
  • Peanuts 1/2 cup
  • Jaggery 1 & 1/2 cup
  • Ghee 3-4 tsp
  • Oddy Ecobake

Directions

 

  • Dry roast peanuts and sesame separately and let it cool down completely. Peel off peanuts, grind it to coarse mixture, grind roasted sesame seeds to a coarse powder Now heat pan, add ghee and jaggery, cook on low heat till jaggery melts, add 2 tsp water and mix cook until it gets first boil.
  • After first boil turn off gas and add sesame and peanut powder and mix well. In a plate place Oddy Ecobake and grease, it with ghee. Oddy Ecobake is non-sticky and helps in easy demolding of the Tilgud wadi.
  • Pour the hot mixture and with the help of a flat bowl spread evenly, cut into pieces while the mixture is slight hot.
  • Cool down the mixture completely and then take Wadis out. You can store it for a month in an air tight container.
