Top Forward Unique Designer Cake

About the Recipe

A top-forward cake is a cake that is cut off on one of the sides to resemble a semicircle and stands on its sides. This recipe for a top-forward designer cake is made with vanilla flavor, flour, and sugar. It is decorated in a sunflower design using simple tools. The cake is made perfectly soft and spongy by the use of Oddy Ecobake, which is heat-resistant and eliminates the need to grease the baking pan.

Ingredients

 

  • Powdered sugar-3/4 cup & Fresh curd-1/2 cup
  • Oil-1/4 cup & Vanilla essence -1 tsp
  • Milk-3 tbsp & Maida – 1 cup
  • Milk powder -2 tbsp & Baking powder – 1 tsp
  • Baking soda -1/4 tsp & Vinegar -1 tsp
  • Cold whipping cream -1 cup+ 3 tbsp & For sugar syrup: Mix sugar 2 tbsp with water.
  • Yellow food colour -2 drops & Green food colour
  • Golden sugar balls & Nozzle cone & Choco chips
  • Oddy Ecobake

Directions

 

  • Place a wire stand in a vessel, cover, and heat for 10 minutes. Line a 6-inch cake pan with Oddy Ecobake.
  • Mix the powdered sugar and curd in a bowl and mix well. Add oil, vanilla essence, and milk, and whisk well. Add the sifted dry ingredients to it and mix well. Add vinegar to it, and the cake batter is ready.
  • Transfer the batter into a baking pan and tap it well. Bake the cake on a medium flame for 40–45 minutes. Bake it in an oven at 150 degrees Celsius for 35 to 40 minutes.
  • Check with a toothpick: A clean toothpick means a perfectly baked cake. Beat whipping cream in a bowl until you get stiff peaks.
  • Unmould the cake after it has completely cooled. Cut the cake into three layers. Place a layer of cake on the cake board, moisten with sugar syrup, and apply whipping cream.
  • Repeat the process for other layers. Frost the cake with whipping cream. Smooth out the frosting using a sterile card, as shown. Cut a part of the cake and turn the cake top forward using a spatula, then frost it with whipping cream all over.
  • Mix whipping cream with yellow gel food colour to make yellow cream. Mark circles on the cake using a cookie cutter. Transfer yellow cream into the nozzle cone and make sunflower designs as shown.
  • Decorate with green cream, choco chips, and golden sugar balls. The delicious top-forward cake is ready.
