Thalipeeth is a spicy savory pancake, popular in Maharashtra. It is usually had for breakfast or supper. Thalipeeth are usually loaded with full of nutrition. This dish is popular when it comes to fasting. Making thalipeeth in Oddy Ecobake is a fuss-free process since Oddy Ecobake is non-sticky and reusable.

Ingredients

 

  • 3 boiled potatoes
  • ½ cup sago flour
  • Salt as per taste
  • ½ cup crushed peanuts
  • 2-3 green chillies
  • Ghee 2 tbsp

Directions

 

  • Grate the boiled potatoes and add sago flour, salt, crushed peanut, chillies and mix well.
  • Make in into a dough, the water from boiled potatoes will help bind the mixture well. If needed add a little water. Let the dough rest for 15 mins. This duration is enough for the sago to swell and form a great texture for the dough. Wet your hands and make the dough into small balls.
  • Place the Oddy Ecobake sheet on top of the rolling pan. This will prevent the dough from sticking on the rolling pan and getting messy. Oddy Ecobake sheets is non-greasy and can be reused multiple times.
  • Pat the dough with hands to form a thin layer called thalipeeth. Apply ghee in hot pan and place our thalipeeth on it. Apply ghee on both sides and cook till it turns golden on both sides.
  • Our thalipeeth is ready to serve fresh and hot. Serve with chutney, sauce or dry spicy powdered mix.
