  • Green Chilli , Garlic
  • Colocasia/ Arbi Leaves
  • Turmeric, Coriander Powder
  • Salt, Red Chilli and Gram Flour
  • Tamarind Water
  • Ecobake Non-stick Liner Sheets
  • Oil and Sesame Seeds



  • Grind green chilli and garlic on a grinding stone. Clean the Arbi Leaves thoroughly in water and tear out the hard stem part off them.
  • Cut these leaves into thin strips. Wash them, drive them and add the following spices- Turmeric Powder, Coriander Powder, Salt and Gram Flour. Add chilli garlic paste and tamarind water.Mix these ingredients to form a sticky paste/batter.
  • Line a baking tray with Ecobake Non Stick liners. Pour the batter in this tray and spread evenly. Ecobake Non-Stick liner sheets help prevent the batter from sticking/ burning to the surface while cooking.
  • Pour some water in a kadhai. Put a stand and place the tray on it. Cover the lead for the steaming to take place.
  • Once steamed, take the tray out and cut equal pieces/squares out of it.
  • In a kadhai, add oil and sesame seeds. Let the splutter, Now add squares and cook for a while. Take out and serve hot.
  • Place the dhokla batter tray on the water. Cover it and let it steam for 10-15 minutes. After 12 minutes, check with a toothpick. If the toothpick comes clean, then dholkla is ready to be served.
