Atta Gulgule

Although parents are hesitant to feed their children undesirable fried foods, kids always enjoy snacking. Then you can prepare this “Atta Gulgule,” which is a batter comprised of wheat flour, melted jaggery, and spices that is then fried in hot oil. It is safer to serve it to your family because no soda is used and the fennel seeds help with digestion. Oddy Uniwraps, which are composed of microwave-safe organic cellulose and assist to keep all of your foods clean for a longer amount of time, can be used to pack them.

Ingredients

 

  • Jaggery-1 cup & Water-1 cup
  • Wheat flour-2 cups & Fennel seeds-1 tsp
  • White Til or sesame seeds-1 tsp & Milk Cream -1 tbsp
  • Mustard oil- for frying
  • Oddy Uniwraps

Directions

 

  • Melt the jaggery along with the water and keep it aside to cool. Add wheat flour, fennel seeds, and sesame seeds to a mixing bowl and mix well.
  • Now add the melted jaggery to it gradually and whisk well to mix to make a smooth batter.
  • Cover and let it rest for some time—at least 20 minutes. Add cream to it and mix well.
  • Add the melted jaggery to it if the batter is thick, and mix well. You can add ground sooji powder to the batter if it becomes thin.
  • Heat mustard oil in a pan, drop the mixed batter into small roundels, and fry them on a medium flame.
  • Fry them until they turn golden brown on all sides. Remove them from the oil and pack them into Oddy Uniwraps. The tasty atta gulgule stays fresh for a long time.
