Chakli with Homemade Flour

About the Recipe

Here we are going to make chaklis with homemade chakli flour. A detailed step-by-step procedure is given here for making the flour and chaklis. You can use Oddy Brown Ecobake to make concentric circles with chakli dough before frying them in oil. It’s completely safe for your health.

Ingredients

 

  • 500 gms rice-5 cups & 200 grams chana daal-2 cups
  • 100 gms urad and moong daal-1 cup each
  • 2 tbsp poha & 2 sp sesame seeds
  • 1 sp black pepper corn & 1 sp cumin seds
  • 2 sp coriender seeds & 2 sp kashmiri rec chili powder
  • 1/2 sp turmeric, 1 sp ajwain/owa, salt, oil & water
  • Oddy Brown Ecobake

Directions

 

  • Dry roast rice, chana daal, moong daal, poha, sesame seeds, black pepper corn, cumin seeds, and coriander seeds one by one in a kadai. Allow them to come to room temperature and make them into a fine powder.
  • Add Kashmiri red chilli powder, turmeric, ajwain, salt, oil, and water to a pan and add flour to it. Mix everything well. Switch off the stove, transfer the mixture to a plate, and knead well to form a dough.
  • Fill a portion of the dough in a chakli maker and make concentric circles with it on a sheet of Oddy Brown Ecobake. Fry these concentric circles in hot oil, and your crispy chaklis are ready.
