Chocolate Cake | Beautifully Decorated

Chocolate Cake is something we all love. Learn how to make Bakery style soft and spongy chocolate cake at home, while using easily available ingredients and without using a microwave oven.

Ingredients

 

  • 1 cup all purpose Flour (120 gm)
  • 2 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • ¾ cup + 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp + 2 pinches baking soda
  • ¼ cup oil
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essense

Directions

 

  • Take 3/4 cup of Milk in a bowl and add a tablespoon of vinegar or lemon jiuce. Mix it, and let it rest for 7-8 mins.
  • Line your pan/cake tin with Oddy Ecobake Baking and Cooking Paper and set it aside. Meanwhile Preheat the pan on low flame for 5-7 minutes.
  • After 10 mins, milk will be cudeled up. Now ad 3/4 cup of powdered sugar and 1/4 cup of unflavoured oil and some drops of vanilla essence. Mix them properly for about 5 mins
  • Take a bowl and strain 1 cup of Maida in it, along with 2 tablespoon of Cocoa Powder, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda, 2-3 pinch of salt.
  • Transfer dry ingredients into the bowl of mixture, and mix them thoroughly, to make smooth and lump free batter
  • Treansfer the batter into the mold and give it a tap, and put it in pre heated pan. Bake it on low flame for 35-40 mins
  • After 35-40 mins check the cake using a toothpick, if it came out clean you cake is perfectly baked. Let it cool down.
  • For Frosting:
  • Take a bowl which was freezed for about 30 mins in a freezer and add 1 cup of whipping cream in it and beat it using a beater.
  • Coat the cake using whipped cream completely, and smooth it using a spatual or some cards. Make a chocolate Ganache by mixing 1/2 cup of chocoalte and 5 tablespoon of hot cream. Transfer it into a piping bag, and add a layer of it on the cake top.
  • Make a swirl pattern on it using a spatula. Using same Ganache, make chocolate drips pattern on the sie of the cake.
  • Take 2 tablespoon of whipped cream in bowl and add 2-3 tablesppon of ganache. Mix them properly and transfer into a piping bag with close stars shape nozzle.
  • Make simple swirl heap design on the topp outer edges of cake. Freeze it for sometime. Meanwhile take some pooped corn, you can use packed corns from market.
  • Add 1/4 cup of sugar in a pan, melt it on medium flame, as it melted, add 1 teaspoon of salted butter, add 2-3 pinches of baking soda. Stirr it for sometime and add popcorns into it. Stirr and make sure that all popcorns are coated in caramel.
  • Take a piece of Oddy Uniwraps Food wrapping paper and transer popcorn on it, let it cool down. When cooled down, when popcorns are set, breakthem into seperate pieces.
  • Add these caramel popcorns in the centre space of cake, and further garnish the cake with some chocolates drops and a chocolate ball in the middle. And it is ready to serve.
