Chocolate Pastry without an Oven and Eggs

Do you want to try chocolate pastries at home? This recipe shows how to make chocolate pastry at home without using eggs or an oven. The cake will be spongy and perfectly sweet with chocolate ganache and chocolate chips. Oddy Ecobake which is convenient and reusable is used in the recipe to bake a soft and smooth cake.

Ingredients

 

  • Veg Oil - 1/4 Cup (50 ml) & Powdered Sugar - 1/2 Cup (70 gm)
  • Curd - 1/4 Cup (50 gm) & Vanilla Essence - 1 Tbsp
  • Melted Chocolate - 1/4 Cup (50 ml) & Milk - 1/2 Cup
  • Sugar - 2 Tsp , Instant Coffee - 1 Tsp & Water - 1/4 Cup
  • Fresh Cream - 1/4 Cup & Chopped Dark Chocolate - 1/2 Cup
  • Butter - 1 Tsp & All Purpose Flour - 1 Cup (130 gm)
  • Baking Powder - 1 Tsp, Baking Soda - 1/2 Tsp & Pinch of Salt
  • Oddy Ecobake

Directions

 

  • Take oil, powdered sugar, curd, and vanilla essence in a bowl and beat well. Mix in the sifted dry ingredients, followed by the melted chocolate, using the cut and fold method. Now add milk gradually and mix well. Line a baking tray with Oddy Ecobake and pour in the batter.
  • Preheat the kadai for 10 minutes. Bake the cake for 45 minutes on a low flame. Using a toothpick, check to see if the cake is baked. Demould carefully. Cut the cake into four layers as shown. In a bowl, mix together sugar, instant coffee, and water.
  • Take a layer of cake and soak the cake with syrup. Apply whipping cream and spread it evenly. Add a few chocolate chips on top. Repeat the process with the next layer of cake. Set all layers the same way. The whipping cream should be used to cover the entire surface of the cake.
  • Refrigerate for 1 hour. Melt fresh cream, chopped dark chocolate, and butter using the double boiler method. Pour the ganache on the cake. Cut all the edges. Slice as shown. Garnish with dark and white choco chips. The yummy and tasty eggless chocolate pastry is ready.
