Coconut Burfi Without Condensed Milk

Coconut burfi is one of the most commonly prepared sweet recipes, especially in South India. Traditionally, coconut burfi is made with fresh coconut without using condensed milk or milk powder. Oddy Ecobake helps you make your burfi without greasing the tray. Hence, there is no need for additional cleanup.

Ingredients

 

  • 1 Cup fresh peeled coconut & 1/2 Cup + 2 Tbsp milk
  • 1/4 Cup sugar powder & 1/2 Tsp rose essence
  • 1 Drop pink colour & Oddy Ecobake
  • Silver Vark and Pistachio for garnishing

Directions

 

  • Take fresh peeled coconut and grind it in a mixer jar. Transfer this ground coconut to a pan and cook until it turns slightly golden in color.
  • Add milk, sugar, rose essence, and pink food colouring to the roasted coconut and mix well. Cook until the milk is completely absorbed by the coconut mixture.
  • Add 2 tbsp of milk to the mixture, mix well, and switch off the stove. Transfer the mixture to a mould lined with Oddy Ecobake.
  • Spread it evenly and garnish with chopped nuts. Let it rest for a while. Once the coconut burfi is set, cut it into small pieces and enjoy!
