Covert Fondant Cake to Cream Cake

About the Recipe

Here I have baked a simple cake and decorated with fondant. I had planned to make a fondant cake before but I changed my mind in between. I have added a cute bunny fondant on top, you can change the picture according to your liking. Check how I have transformed this into a simple cake. Use Oddy Ecobake to line the baking tin. Oddy Ecobake helps in easy demolding of the cake.

Ingredients

 

  • Chocolate premix 180 gms
  • Oddy Ecobake
  • Water as required
  • 6-inch tin
  • Chocolate ganache
  • Chocolate whipping cream
  • Blue whipping cream
  • Pink fondant

Directions

 

  • In a bowl add premix and water to make a smooth batter. Line a 6-inch baking tin with Oddy Ecobake. Pour the cake batter in baking tin and tap to remove any air bubbles. Bake the cake on medium flame for 35-40 mins.
  • Demold the cake one cooled. Cut it into 3 layers. For assembling the cake, place one layer of cake and add sugar syrup to soak the cake. Add chocolate whipping cream and chocolate ganache on it. Spread it evenly. Repeat the same process for the next layer.
  • Add the third layer and crumb coat the cake with chocolate whipping cream. Add blue whipping cream on sides and top of the cake. Level it with a scrapper. Make designs with toothpick as shown.
  • Take pink fondant and roll it with a rolling pin. Make a shape of bunny as shown in the video and cut it nicely. Make eyes and detailing with edible marker as shown. Also make starts and heart shapes for decorating. Make borders with blue whipping cream.
  • Place the fondant bunny on top of the cake and add stars and heart shapes on sides and top to decorate. Our fondant to cream cake is ready.
