Crispy and Flavorful Andhra-style Murukulu

Crispy murukulu or chakli is the go-to snack for kids, adults, and working people. Today we are going to make chakli in the Andhra style. You can use Oddy Ecobake to make concentric circles with chakli dough before frying them in oil. It’s completely safe for your health.

Ingredients

 

  • Urad dal flour - 1 cup & Gram flour - 1 cup
  • Ragi flour - 1 cup & Rice flour - 4 cups
  • Water & salt as required & Ghee
  • Carom seeds, red chilli powder & Cumin seeds
  • Ginger, green chillies, oil & Oddy Ecobake

Directions

 

  • Mix all the flours in a mixing bowl. Add the ghee and salt to the flour and mix well.
  • Grind carom seeds, cumin seeds, ginger, and green chillies in a mixer jar to a fine powder.
  • Add the ground powder to the flour mixture and mix well. Add the required amount of water and prepare a soft dough.
  • Fill the chakli maker with a portion of chakli dough. Take Oddy Ecobake and make concentric circles on it by pressing the chakli maker.
  • Gently flip them into hot oil and fry them until they turn golden in color. Your chaklis or murukulu are ready!
