Crispy Butter Chakli

Ingredients

 

  • 1 Cup Rice Flour
  • 1/2 Cup + 1/4 Cup Besan/Chickpea Flour
  • 50 grams or 1/4 Cup Amul Butter/Salted Butter
  • 1 Cup Water & 1 tsp Cumin Seeds/Jeera
  • 1/2 tsp Salt & 2 tsp Sesame Seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder, 1 1/2 tsp Red Chili Powder & As required Oil (For Deep Fry)

Directions

 

  • In a non stick pan, take 1/4th cup besan, roast it on a low flame. Roast for 2-3 mins till color changes and it smells good. Transfer it to another bowl and allow it to cool.
  • In another vessel, take 1 cup water. Warm it on low flame. Add jeera, salt and salted butter. Boil it till butter melts.
  • In the roasted besan, add remaining 1/2 cup besan, and rice flour. Mix it well. Add sesame seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, Mix all the spices with the flour.
  • Partially and gradually add the prepared water. Knead a soft dough. Grease the palm and knead again. No need to give dough rest.
  • Grease the chakli maker machine with oil. Fix the base of the machine, fill in the dough. Fix the handle of the machine.
  • Make medium size chakli on Oddy Uniwraps. Stick the end of the chakli. Deep fry chakli in medium hot oil. Fry till golden brown and crispy. Flip to other side and fry till cooked.
  • You can directly prepare chakli in hot oil and fry it. Allow the chakli to cool at room temperature. Store and eat crispy chakli.
