Crunchy Egg Fingers

About the Recipe

These crunchy egg fingers are soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Flavour them with dry spices, Italian herbs or cheese and then serve along with tea. Steam or bake them using Oddy Ecobake as it is convenient and hassle-free form of cooking.

Ingredients

 

  • Eggs- 6 & finely chopped capsicum- 2 tbsp
  • Grated carrot- 2 tbsp & Oddy Ecobake
  • Ginger garlic paste- 1/2 tbsp
  • Chopped green chillies- 1 tsp & bread crumbs- 1 tbsp
  • Chopped coriander- 1-2 tbsp & pepper powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Chaat masala- 1/2 tsp & salt as per taste
  • For marination- Maida 2 tbsp, Cornflour 2 tbsp, Ginger garlic paste 1/2 tbsp, garam masala 1 tsp, Jeera Powder 1 tsp, oregano 1/2 tsp, salt as per taste, Red Chilly powder 1/2 tsp & Turmeric 1/4 tsp

Directions

 

  • In a mixing bowl, take eggs and then add all the veggies. Now put in the green chillies, ginger garlic paste, salt as per taste, black pepper, chaat masala and chopped coriander. Mix all of this well.
  • Then add in the bread crumbs and mix again. Take a cake tin and line it with Oddy Ecobake. Pour the wet mixture into it and cover the tin with a sheet of Oddy Uniwraps.
  • In a kadhai, put some water and heat it for a while. For steaming, we will put one small plate as shown in the video and keep the cake tin on top of it to make it a stand.
  • Cover the kadhai with a lid and steam it for 15-20 minutes.
  • For marination, add all the dry ingredients along with ginger garlic paste in a bowl. Start adding water to make it a paste as shown in the video.
  • Demould the batter now once it cools down and cut it into long pieces like fingers.
  • Now dip each finger in prepared marination followed by a coating of bread crumbs. This way, it will give a crispy texture and taste.
  • Deep fry the egg fingers and serve them hot with tomato ketchup or any other dip.
