Delicious Karachi Halwa

About the Recipe

Soft and melting in the mouth Karachi halwa, which is also known as Bombay halwa. Karachi halwa is made with basically four ingredients: corn flour, ghee, water, and sugar. It is easy to make and requires less time to make; it can be made during festivals and special occasions. The Karachi halwa demoulding was made easy by using Oddy Ecobake, which is very convenient to use and does not stick to the food made.

Ingredients

 

  • Corn flour-1 cup & Water -2 cups + 1 cup
  • Sugar-2 cups & Ghee-3/4 cup
  • Chopped Dry nuts & Orange food colour
  • Cardamom powder
  • Oddy Ecobake

Directions

 

  • Mix corn flour with water and whisk well and Keep it aside.
  • Line a glass or steel tray with Oddy Ecobake.
  • Melt sugar in a pan with water and stir continuously on a medium flame. Add the corn flour mixture to it on a low flame. Stir and mix until it thickens.
  • Now, add ghee gradually to it and mix on a low flame. Lastly, add a few drops of orange food colour and cardamom powder.
  • Garnish with chopped almonds and cashews. Mix well, and cook for 1 minute. Add a tablespoon of ghee.
  • Switch off the flame. Transfer the mixture into the tray and spread well.
  • Garnish with some more chopped dry nuts if preferred. Let it cool completely for 2 to 3 hours. Demould and cut into pieces. The yummy Karachi halwa is ready to be tasted.
