Ingredients

  • Vanilla cake premix-300g & Homemade rasagullas-5
  • Oil-4 tbsp & Elachi powder-1 tsp
  • Chilled whipping cream-1.5 cups & Yellow gel Food colour
  • Red liquid food colour & Neutral gel-1tbsp
  • Black liquid food color & water
  • Oddy Ecobake

Directions

  • Mix together vanilla cake premix, oil, and water in a bowl without lumps. You may use Elachi powder to make fusion cakes taste better. Transfer the mixed batter into a cake mould lined with Oddy Ecobake in the bottom.
  • Preheat the oven to 160°C and bake the cake for 40–45 minutes on the preset setting. Cut the cake into three layers and keep it aside. Beat chilled whipping cream until you get stiff peaks. Keep the first layer of cake and apply rasgulla syrup all over it.
  • Spread whipping cream on it. Garnish with a few pieces of rasagulla on to it. Repeat the process for all 3 layers of cake. Add yellow gel food colour to the whipping cream and red food colour to another bowl of whipping cream.
  • Frost the cake with yellow cream on the top and red on the bottom. Make two diya imprints on the cake and decorate it. To create a 3D diya, mix a piece of cake with red food coloring and neutral gel and make it into a diya.
  • To make the wick, mix the cake with whipping cream. Fill the diya with neutral gel that looks like oil and place it on top of the cake. Place a Happy Diwali card using a toothpick on the cake and decorate with sprinkles all over the card
  • Decorate the cake all over with the yellow and red whipping cream that was left. Using a 5-star nozzle and a leaf nozzle, decorate the bottom of the cake. And yes! Our Diwali cake and that too on budget is ready.
