Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1 cup maida
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Sliced almonds 3-4 tbsp
  • Green food colour 3-4 drops
  • 1 tbsp Cardamom powder
  • Water as required
  • Oddy Ecobake

Directions

  • In a kadai add ghee and maida and roast the maida in a low flame nicely. In a different vessel add sugar and water just enough to immerse the sugar and keep stirring to form sugar syrup. Keep stirring the syrup.
  • Add cardamom powder in maida and mix well. After roasting for around 10-15 mins add our prepared sugar syrup in it and gradually mix it. Make sure that no lumps are formed.
  • Once mixed nicely switch off the flame. Take a container in which you want to set the barfi. Place Oddy Ecobake baking and cooking paper. Oddy Ecobake helps in easy demolding of the barfi and helps in hassle-free cooking.
  • Pour half of our barfi mixture in the container. For the next half of the mixture add green food colour and mix well. You can add any flavour or colour of your choice. Now pour the rest on top of it.
  • Since the first half has been already set it becomes easy to layer the second batch of green coloured barfi mixture. Place sliced almonds on top and press well. Keep the barfi in room temperature outside for 2 hours to set.
  • After two hours remove the barfi and cut in desired shapes. Our Double layered barfi is ready. Make this for special occasion and for puja’s at home.
  • Place the dhokla batter tray on the water. Cover it and let it steam for 10-15 minutes. After 12 minutes, check with a toothpick. If the toothpick comes clean, then dholkla is ready to be served.
