Eggless Black Forest Cake

About the Recipe

The soft, rich, and delicious eggless black forest cake is produced from flour and brown sugar and is attractively frosted with whipped cream. The black forest cake gains a distinctive flavor from the cherry compote. Oddy Ecobake, which is used to line the baking pan, is heat-resistant, grease-proof, and non-stick, so even though the cake is baked on the stove, it slides off quite easily.

Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil -1/4 cup & Brown Sugar -1/2 cup
  • Curd -1/4 cup & Chocolate Syrup -1/4 cup
  • Vanilla Essence – 1 tbsp & Milk -1/2 cup & 4 tbsp
  • Whole wheat flour -1 cup & Baking powder -1 tsp
  • Baking soda-1/2 tsp & Salt –a pinch
  • Chilled whipping cream -1 cup & Cherry compote
  • Chocolate curls & Cherries
  • Oddy Ecobake

Directions

  • Take the oil in a bowl and add the sugar; whisk well. Then add curd, chocolate syrup, vanilla essence, and milk to it and beat well.
  • Now add the sifted dry ingredients to it and mix well using the cut and fold method. Add milk to make it a slightly thin ribbon consistency.
  • Line a 4-inch baking pan with Oddy Ecobake. Transfer the batter into it, spread it out, and tap it well. Preheat a pan for 10 minutes with a wire stand in it. Cover and bake the cake for 45 minutes on a low flame.
  • Beat whipping cream in a bowl until stiff peaks form. Demould the cake and divide it into three layers. Place a layer of cake on the cake board, soak with sugar syrup, and spread whipping cream and cherry compote on it.
  • Garnish with chocolate curls. Repeat the process for other layers, too. Frost the cake with cream, cover, and smooth. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours. Arrange chocolate sticks on the sides.
  • Decorate with whipped cream filled in a piping bag on the top and sides as shown. Top it with cherries and chocolate curls. The eggless black forest cake is ready. Cut it into slices and enjoy.
