Eggless White Forest Cake

Make super spongy and soft White Forest Cake at home. This recipe is suitable for all occasions and anyone can eat it being eggless and super easy to make. All ingredients are easily available and you don’t have to worry about being an expert in cooking while making this cake, decoration is easy and takes no time. So you must try it once at your home.

Ingredients

Cake Tin used is of 6″ diameter

Measuring cup is of 200 ml capacity

  • Maida or refined flour- 1 cup or 130g approx
  • Powdered Sugar- 3/4 cup or 90g
  • Milk powder- 4 tbsp
  • Baking powder- 1 tsp
  • Baking soda- 1/4 tsp
  • Salt- 1/4 tsp
  • Milk- 1/2 cup or 100ml plus 2 tbsp
  • Refined oil- 1/4 cup or 50ml
  • Vanilla essence- 1/2 tsp
  • Vinegar- 1 tsp
  • Sweet Whipping Cream- 1 cup or 200ml
  • White compound chocolate- 80g
  • Cherries

Directions

 

  • To prepare frosting for cake, take 1 cup of chilled whipping cream with added sugar and vanilla flavor, and beat it for 5-6 mins, and keep the bowl in the fridge.
  • To bake cake, take a mixing bowl and starin 1 cup of maida, 4tbsp milk powder, ¾ cup powdered sugar, 1 tsp baking powder, ¼ tsp baking soda and ¼ tsp of salt in it and mix all these ingredients well.
  • Add ¼ cup refined oil, ½ cup of milk and 1/2tsp vanilla essence and ½ tsp vinegar to the bowl and mix it well. Make sure there is no lump, batter should be smooth. take a 6 inch cake tin lined with Oddy Ecobake Baking and cooking paper and transfer the batter in it.
  • Place the batter in the pre heated kadai and bake it for 25-30 min on low medium flame. After 30mins, remove the cake from kadai and let it cool down for about 2hrs, and then demold it.
  • Remove the upper layer of cake and divide it into 2-3 layers, place the bottom layer on the cake board, soak it using milk or sugar syrup and spread the cream on it evenly and add some finely chopped cherries on it then add a second layer on top of it.
  • Similarly add 2 & 3rd layer repeating the same process. Crumb coat the cake completely using whipped cream, apply a final coat of cream and smoothen it using a card or scraper.
  • Take a piping bag with a rose nozzle, and fill it using whipped cream and make rosettes on half of the cake top, and bottom, as shown in the video.
  • Garnish your cake with some cherries and some white chocolate flakes as shown in the video and place it in the refrigerator for 30 mins.
  • After 30 mins, your white forest cake is ready to serve.
