Homemade Garlic Knots

About the Recipe

The homemade garlic knots are extra soft and fluffy, made from six-ingredient pizza dough, and topped with flavourful garlic herb butter before and after baking. This recipe is a quick, easy, and fun way to dress up traditional side bread. The Ecobake cooking paper is used in the recipe to bake the dough and make fluffy garlic bread.

Ingredients

 

  • All Purpose Flour / Maida - 3 cup & Dry Yeast - 1 tbsp
  • Salt - 1 tsp, Sugar-2 tbsp & Oil- 3 tbsp
  • Warm Water - 1 cup or as needed & Garlic Herb Butter - 3 tbsp
  • Coriander Leaves – 2 tbsp finely chopped & Garlic – 2 cloves grated
  • Oregano – 1 tsp & Cheese for Topping

Directions

 

  • Mix yeast and sugar with warm water and set this aside for 5 minutes. Let it foam up. Take flour, salt, and oil in a bowl and mix well. Pour the yeast mix into the flour and mix well to make a dough.
  • Cover it with plastic wrap or a damp cloth and set it aside for 1 hour till it has doubled in size. Take all the ingredients given for garlic herb butter in a sauce pan except cheese and heat so everything is melted. Set aside.
  • Now take the dough and divide it into equal portions. Take a ball, roll it out, and then make a knot out of it. Spread the Ecobake paper on the baking tray. Arrange this in a baking tray, leaving a little space between each of them.
  • Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius during the last 10 minutes of rising. Just before putting it in the oven, brush it with the garlic-herb butter and sprinkle cheese over it. Now place this in the preheated oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
  • Take it out and apply some butter over the top, so that it looks glossy and shiny.Serve hot.
