Ingredients

  • 1 cup jawari flour
  • 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 11/2 tsp chilli powder
  • Salt as required
  • ½ tsp Carrom seeds crushed
  • 3 tbsp Coriander leaves chopped
  • 2 tbsp gram flour
  • 2 tbsp white sesame seeds
  • ½ tsp garlic paste
  • Water as required
  • Oddy Ecobake

Directions

  • In a bowl mix jawari flour, jeera powder, coriander powder, salt, turmeric, chilli powder, freshly chopped coriander, carrom seeds, gram flour, sesame seeds and garlic paste. Add water and make a soft firm dough. Adjust the flavor and make small balls as we do for puris. Take Oddy Ecobake and place it in the rolling pan.
  • Take our dough and place it in Oddy Ecobake. Now fold the Oddy Ecobake over the dough and start rolling it with a rolling pin. Oddy Ecobake is non-sticky and helps to make perfect puri shapes. Make sure the thickness of the puri is neither too thick nor too thin.
  • Thin puris will fry like fritters and thick puris will not get cooked properly while we fry them. Add oil in a kadai and once its hot fry the puris.
  • Make sure to flip it and cook on both sides. Keep the fried puris in Oddy Ecobake, since it is grease-proof. Enjoy the hot puris with curd or chutneys.
