Mungfali Laddu

 

About the Recipe

Mungfali laddu is made from roasted dry nuts, roasted peanuts, and jaggery. It is also called “Energy Laddu” since it is a protein-rich yummy snack and quick energy booster for all age groups. It can be served as a light dessert after meals. The jaggery syrup for making the laddu is made non-stick by pouring it on Oddy Ecobake, which is grease-proof, non-sticky, and reusable.

Ingredients

 

  • Peanut (skinned) -500 g & Cashew-100 g
  • Almonds-100 g & Sesame or Til seeds-50 g
  • Jaggery-500 g & Sugar-50 g
  • Baking soda-1/4 tsp & Ghee-2 tbsp + ½ cup
  • Water- 2 to 3 tsp & Cardamom- 4 to 5
  • Oddy Ecobake

Directions

 

  • Dry roast the peanuts on a medium flame for 12 to 15 minutes and let them cool. Dry roast the cashews and almonds in the pan until the colour changes a little.
  • Dry-roast sesame seeds until they sputter and change color. Remove the skin of the peanuts and grind them coarsely. Take it to a bowl.
  • Then coarsely grind roasted cashews and almonds, and then add roasted sesame seeds to it and grind. Combine them in the bowl with the ground peanuts and make a mixture.
  • Add water to a pan and add sugar to it until it melts completely. Then add jaggery to it and stir on a low flame, stirring continuously until it melts and thickens.
  • Also add baking soda and ghee to it, and stir continuously for 2 minutes until you get the perfect texture. Remove it from the flame and shift it onto a plate spread with Oddy Ecobake.
  • Let it cool completely, break it into pieces, and grind it roughly. Now add this to the ground mixture, and combine them well. Then add warm ghee to it gradually and mash well to bind the mixture.
  • Then add cardamom powder to it and mix well. Make dry fruit laddu with wet hands. Make similar laddus from the mixture. The tasty and healthy mungfali laddu is ready.
