Ingredients
- 2 cups Nylon poha (thin beaten rice) & 1/4 cup peanuts
- 1/4 cup cashews & 1/4 cup raisins
- Coriander leaves & 2-3 green chilies (slit or chopped)
- A pinch of asafoetida (hing) & 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar & Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil & Oddy Ecobake
Directions
- Heat oil in a deep pan on a medium flame. Add peanuts to the heated oil, fry them until they become crisp. Take them out and keep aside. Let the nylon poha chivda cool down before storing it in an airtight jar.
- In the same oil, fry the cashews until they turn golden brown. Remove and keep them aside with peanuts. Similarly, fry the raisins until they swell up and keep them aside.
- Now, roast the coriander leaves after lining the baking tray with Oddy Ecobake. Add green chilies into the oil and then a pinch of asafoetida.
- Lower the heat. Add the turmeric powder and sugar. Stir well. Now, add the nylon poha and roast on low flame until the poha becomes crisp. This might take 8-10 mins. Stir continuously to avoid burning.
- Add salt as per your taste. Switch off the flame. Now mix the fried nuts and raisins with the poha.
- Your delicious nylon poha chivda is ready to serve.
