Ingredients
- 2 cups- sour curd
- 1 cup gram flour/besan
- 15-20 green chillies
- 4 garlic pods
- 1/2 inch ginger
- Oil
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp jeera seeds
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 1/4 tsp Fenugreek seeds
- Hing
- Curry leaves.
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt
- 2 onions
- 1/4 tsp ajwain
- 2 red chillies
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp red chilly powder
Directions
- Take 2 cups sour curd. Put it in a mixer and grind for 7-8 minutes. Now add 2 large/3 medium glasses of water to the curd.
- Split it into 2 halves and pour one half to mixer jar and 1/2 cup gram flour(besan) and grind well and ensure there are no lumps. Add to the other half of curd.
- Take 3-4 garlic pods,half inch ginger and 15-20 green chillies and make a paste of it in a mixer by adding water.
- In a pan ,add 2 tbsp oil, 1/2 tsp mustard seeds and let it crackle. Then add 1 tsp jeera seeds, 1 tsp fennel seeds, 1/4 tsp Fenugreek seeds, 1 pinch hing and few curry leaves. Then add the prepared chilli paste to it. Add 2 tsp water and mix well.
- Add 1 tsp green chilli paste, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and mix well. Then add the prepared besan and curd batter to it and keep mixing to ensure no lumps. Cook for 20 minutes approximately. Add 3/4 tsp salt.
- In a bowl, add 1 big onion/2 small onions , 3/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp green chilli paste, 1/4 tsp ajwain, 1/2 cup gram flour and mix well by gradually adding water. And pakoda batter is ready.
- Take some oil and heat it and then cool it. And add 1/2 tsp salt.
- Use the pakoda batter to make small pakodas and fry them in low- medium flame. Once done, Use oddy uniwrap to absorb the excess oil.
- Now put the pakodas in the curd and besan batter and close the lid for 5 minutes.
- Take 3-4 tsp oil,2 red chilies, 1 bay leaf, few curry leaves, 1 pinch Hing, 1 tsp red chilly powder and cook well and pour it the batter.
- Cook for sometime and your Pakoda Kadhi is ready.
