Rava Menda Ni Poori

About the Recipe

Rava mendani poori is a famous Gujarati snack made from rava that is crispy and tasty. This is consumed during festivals like Diwali or Navaratri. The Ecobake cooking paper is used to roll the dough without sticking to the rolling board.

Ingredients

 

  • Rava- 2 cups (350 g) & Maida -1/4 cup
  • Black pepper -1/2 tsp & Salt – to taste
  • Melted ghee-1/2 cup
  • Water-1 cup & Oil – for deep frying

Directions

 

  • Mix rava, maida, black pepper and salt in a bowl. Add ghee to it little by little and mix with warm water into a soft dough. Rest for 15 minutes.
  • Now knead the dough well so that it does not stick to your hands. Spread the dough onto a rolling board lined with Ecobake cooking paper.
  • Roll the dough into a medium sized chapati, cut it into circles as shown, and make small holes in it. Deep fry them in hot oil until they are brown and crisp. The tasty and crispy rava biscuits are ready.
