About the Recipe

Ribbon pakoda is a famous South Indian snack recipe made of besan and rice flour. It is a crunchy teatime snack that can be made with a few ingredients. You can use Oddy Ecobake to make ribbons with dough before frying them in oil.

Ingredients

 

  • Rice flour - 1/4 cup, Besan - 1 cup, Hinge - 1 tsp
  • Salt as needed, Hot oil - 3 tbsp & Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Chilli powder - 1 tsp & Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Water as needed, Oddy Ecobake & Oil for frying

Directions

 

  • Add rice flour, besan, salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, hinge, and cumin seeds to a mixing bowl and mix them with hot oil.
  • Prepare the dough by adding water to the mixture. Take a plate lined with Oddy Ecobake and make ribbons with the dough using a chakli maker.
  • Transfer the ribbon-shaped dough to hot oil and fry until they're crispy and golden in color. Your ribbon pakoda is ready!
