Soft and Spongy Suji Chocolate Cake

About the Recipe

Enjoy making this delicious, simple, bakery-style chocolate birthday cake at home with homemade chocolate decorations. It is created without eggs, an oven, or cream. With the aid of Ecobake cooking paper, your cake can be perfectly shaped without the use of oil or additional cleanup.

Ingredients

 

  • 1 cup semolina (190 gm) & 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder & ½ cup Curd / yogurt
  • 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp milk & 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp baking soda & ¼ cup oil
  • 1 cup powdered sugar 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • Dark Chocolate compound – 180 gm & milk – 80 ml
  • butter (optional) - 2 tbsp & ¼ cup dark chocolate compound
  • 2 tbsp white chocolate compound & Some cherries for decoration

Directions

 

  • Grind rava into a fine powder in a mixer jar. Mix the wet ingredients in a bowl and add the rava powder to it and mix well.
  • Sieve and add the dry ingredients to the bowl and combine well to form cake batter. Transfer the cake batter into a cake mould using Ecobake cooking paper.
  • Bake the cake for 50 minutes in a preheated kadai on the stove. Once the cake is baked and cooled, divide it into two equal parts.
  • Soak the first layer of the cake with sugar syrup and apply chocolate ganache to it. Place the second layer of the cake and complete the frosting of the cake.
  • Apply chocolate ganache on the entire cake and level it with a spatula. Decorate the cake with two types of chocolate balls and top with chocolate ganache.
