Soft Tilgul Vadi

Tilgul Vadi is a soft, smooth, and sweet dish recipe. It is very easy to prepare and is ready in a short time. Try this Tilgul vadi recipe for kids and family. While setting the Vadi, make sure to line the tray or flat plate with Oddy Ecobake. It is safe and convenient and healthy to use. No need to grease the pan or tray with oil.

Ingredients

 

  • 1 cup sesame seeds, 1cup roasted peanuts,
  • 1.5 cup jaggery, 2 tbsp pure ghee
  • 1 tsp cardamon powder & Oddy Ecobake
  • water as required to make a smooth batter
  • 1/4 tsp sugar, 1/2 tsp green chilli paste & 1/4 tsp eno

Directions

 

  • Roast the sesame seeds. Remove from heat, allow it to cool. Once cooled down, grind the roasted sesame seeds.
  • Grind cashew in the same mixer. Mix both the ground powders roughly with fingers.
  • Add little elaichi powder and mix again. Line a plate with Oddy Ecobake. Apply some ghee on Oddy Ecobake.
  • Take a pan and heat it. Add in ghee and let it get heated. Add the jaggery and stir it till it melts. Make sure there are no lumps in the mixture.
  • Switch off the gas, add the peanut and sesame seeds mixture. Mix the powders and jaggery mixture well till the mixture starts leaving the pan.
  • Pour the cooked mixture on the plate lined with Oddy Ecobake. With a small bowl, press and flatten the mixture on the plate.
  • Sprinkle some sesame seeds and press it inside the tilgul mixture. Add grated coconut. Lastly give it the shape of a vadi by cutting lines (horizontically and vertically). Allow it to cool.
