About the Recipe

Spring onion parathas are a quick, delicious, and healthy breakfast meal made from whole wheat flour and spring onions. They can be prepared ahead of time and packed for your trip because they have a longer shelf life. Use Oddy Ecobake to provide the greasing necessary to the dough to roll it flat and can be reused numerous times to create thin flatbreads from paratha dough.

Ingredients

 

  • Rice flour-1 cup & Wheat flour – 1 cup
  • Salt -1 tsp & Water
  • Red chilli powder -1 tsp & Turmeric powder – a pinch
  • Cumin-1 tsp & Spring onion-1 cup
  • Green chilies – 3 & Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Oddy Ecobake

Directions

 

  • Take rice flour and wheat flour in a mixing bowl. Add salt, red chilli powder, finely chopped spring onion, finely chopped green chilies, and cumin to it and crumble well.
  • Then add water to it gradually and knead to form a soft dough. Grease it with oil and knead. Then pinch a portion of dough and spread it into a deep wok; poke holes as shown.
  • Cook it on a medium flame, pouring oil on all sides, until it turns crisp. You can also make it on a flat pan.
  • Spread a portion of dough on Oddy Ecobake and press flat into thin parathas. Flip it on a hot tawa and cook it on both sides, pouring oil on all sides. The spring onion parathas are ready. You can pack it in your travel or lunch box.
