Sugarless Sweet with Dates and Dry Fruits

Try this dry fruit and date sweet recipe, which can be made without sugar. This has a crunchy texture and is a very healthy recipe. The Uniwraps paper foil helps in setting the sweet roll intact without any air gaps.

Ingredients

 

  • Seedless Dates- 500 gm
  • Almonds/Cashewnuts/Sunflower seeds/Pumpkin seeds/Walnuts-200 gm
  • Poppy seeds-50 gm
  • Ghee-1 tbsp
  • Pista for garnish

Directions

 

  • Grind the deseeded dates without water in pulse mode in a mixer jar. Dry roast the nuts for 4 to 5 minutes in a pan to enhance their taste. Switch off the stove and let them cool down.
  • Dry roast poppy seeds in a pan until the color changes slightly and cool them. In a pan, add ghee and then transfer the date paste into it. Cook until the raw date smell has gone away, then add the roasted dry fruits.
  • Once the dates and dry fruit mixture come to a normal temperature, divide them into two equal parts. Roll them on a wooden board without any gaps with your hands. Transfer the poppy seeds onto a plate and roll the sweet roll in them.
  • Pack the sweets tightly using the Uniwraps paper foil and freeze them for 30 minutes. Later, cut the sweet into smaller pieces as shown, and your dry fruit and date sweet is ready. You can also use pista seeds to garnish another dry fruit and date mixture.
