Ingredients

  • 5-6 white bread slices (small sized)
  • Oddy Ecobake & Sugar- 1/2 cup
  • 2 tbsp of water & 1 cup of milk
  • 1 cup milk powder & 1 tsp ghee

Directions

  • Take 5-6 breads and cut it into smaller pieces using a knife or hands. You can use bread crumbs too. Grind it to make bread crumbs.
  • In a kadhai, add the bread crumbs and cook it on low flame. Keep stirring and cook it till it changes colour. Once it turns brown in colour, switch off the flame and keep it aside so that it cools down.
  • In a pan, add sugar and some water to it. Keep the flame low and cook it for sometime until sugar starts melting as shown.
  • Then put in some milk and mix it well. Once it becomes thick, then add milk powder. Mix it well so that there are no lumps and turn off the flame while doing that.
  • Since the dough appears to be quite dry, you can add 1 tsp of ghee. Cook it again on slow flame for about 1-2 minutes and then line the tray with Oddy Ecobake.
  • Transfer the dough into it and garnish with some dry fruits and keep it aside for setting.
  • Your delicious Bread Kalakand is ready to eat.
