Almond Malai Barfi

About the Recipe

Almond malai barfi is made with almonds, milk, sugar, and ghee. The mixture is cooked until it thickens and then poured into a pan to cool and set. Almond malai barfi is often garnished with silver leaf or nuts. It is a rich and decadent dessert that is perfect for any occasion. Ingredients

 

  • Ingredients For Kesar Milk - 2 Tbsp Hot Milk - Few Strands of Kesar
  • Ingredients For Almond Malai Barfi Mixture (Grinding) - Take 20 Almonds (Soak In Warm Water) - Paneer 200 gm - 1/2 Cup Sugar - 1/2 Cup Milk
  • Ingredients For Almond Malai Barfi : - 1 tbsp Ghee - Add Grinded Mixture - 1 Cup Milk Powder & Oddy Ecobake - 1/2 Tsp Elaichi Powder

Directions

 

  • Take 2 tbsp of hot milk and soak some saffron strands in it to make kesar milk. Then soak around 20 almonds in warm water for 1 hour.
  • After 1 hour, peel off the almonds. Transfer them into a grinder and add 200 grams of paneer along with 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup milk to prepare a fine paste.
  • In a pan, add some ghee followed by the prepared mixture. Then put in 1 cup milk powder and mix all of this well. Make sure that there are no lumps and keep the flame low.
  • Then cook it on medium flame and keep stirring it until it becomes thick and leaves ghee on the side. Then add in the kesar milk and mix it well. Cook it for another 5-10 minutes until it forms a dough-like consistency.
  • Switch off the gas and add elaichi powder and mix it well. Line the container with Oddy Ecobake and add the barfi mixture to the tin. With the help of a spatula, spread the mixture evenly.
  • Garnish it with pista slices and keep it aside until barfi is set.
