Red Velvet Mawa Modak

Ingredients

 

  • Mawa - 1 cup (250 gm) & Powdered sugar - 1/4 cup
  • Desi ghee - 1 tbsp (optional) & Oddy Uniwraps
  • For 1/4 kg Red Velvet Modak: Mawa - 1 cup, Powdered sugar - 1/4 cup, Cream cheese - 3 tbsp, Extra powdered sugar - 2 tbsp, Red velvet emulsion - 1 tsp & Red color - optional

Directions

 

  • Take a pan. Put it on low flame. Once heated, add ghee into it. Add the grated mawa into pan and keep mixing.
  • Once it becomes soft add red velvet emulsion into it. Mix well and cook until the batter doesn't leave the pan. Turn off the gas.
  • Take out the batter into a plate. And let it get cool down properly. Add powdered sugar gradually and mix well to make smooth dough of it.
  • For filling take cream cheese into a bowl, add powdered sugar into it. Combine well to make a smooth paste of it.
  • Once done, fill this paste into a piping bag. Take a modak mould and make your favorite 'Red Velvet Mawa Modak'.
  • Don't forget to fill prepared cream cheese into the cavities of these modaks, to enhance their taste.
  • Pack these modaks using Oddy Uniwraps and store it for longer.
